A PFAS-Free and PTFE-Free Grade 1 Titanium Wok
Meet the KEITH Titanium Ti8127, a 14-inch round-bottom wok hand-forged from a single 2.0 mm sheet of Grade 1 commercially pure titanium. It has no added ceramic or other non-stick coating and is PFAS-free and PTFE-free. Its heat-treated titanium cooking surface is designed for smoother food release when properly preheated and lightly oiled.
The deep, round-bottom 5 L bowl gives ingredients room to move for stir-frying, searing, steaming, braising, boiling and deep-frying. The wok weighs approximately 2.9 lb (1.3 kg).
Each wok is individually hand-forged, so slight variations in the rim dimensions are expected. The nominal rim diameter is 355 mm, with a manufacturing tolerance of ±3%.
A complimentary glass lid is supplied with the wok. The lid is intentionally sized slightly smaller to accommodate natural variations between hand-forged wok bodies. A gap may therefore be visible between the lid and the rim. This is normal within the specified dimensional tolerance, is not a product defect and does not affect normal use.
The fast-heating 2 mm titanium body is built for high-heat wok cooking over gas burners and compatible open-flame setups. This is uncoated titanium cookware: proper preheating, a thin layer of oil, temperature control and manageable batch sizes all help food release.
No traditional seasoning layer is required. The bare titanium cooking surface is suitable for recipes containing tomato, vinegar, wine or citrus, without a seasoning layer to strip. Metal utensils may be used, although they can leave normal cosmetic marks.
The detachable wooden handle is secured with a locking rod and can be removed for more compact storage. The wok comes with a detachable wooden handle, locking rod and slotted spatula, plus a complimentary glass lid. A compatible heat source and, where required, a stable wok ring are not included.
Built for long-term use, the Ti8127 combines a solid titanium body with straightforward care and no applied non-stick coating to peel or flake.
Round-bottom design for gas burners and compatible open-flame setups. Use a stable wok ring where required. Not compatible with induction or flat electric cooktops.
How to Use
-
Preheat: Warm the empty wok over medium-high heat until a few drops of water bead and move across the surface.
-
Reduce the heat and add oil: Lower the flame, let excess water evaporate and add a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil.
-
Cook in manageable batches: Add dry ingredients without overcrowding the bowl.
-
Let food sear before moving it: Allow contact time, then stir, toss or turn as needed while controlling the flame.
Technique note: This is uncoated titanium cookware. Preheating, oil, temperature control and batch size all affect food release.
Care
Let the wok cool before cleaning. For routine care, use warm water, mild detergent and a soft sponge. For stubborn residue on the titanium body, soak the wok, warm a shallow layer of water or use steel wool. Metal utensils and abrasive cleaning may leave normal cosmetic marks, but there is no applied non-stick coating to peel or flake.
Clean the complimentary glass lid separately with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners and sudden temperature changes.
