Excellent stove for pots with a bottom diameter of 4 7/16 inches (11.27 cm) or larger

Excellent stove for pots with a bottom diameter of 4 7/16 inches (11.27 cm) or larger. Pots with smaller bottom diameters will work, but are not as stable.

Lightweight, good size stove

This is very lightweight, but thick, easy to pack away - - my first titanium stove. It's not too difficult to put together, but of course not as easy as a folding stove. I have had three burns in it so far, but have observed some warping in the burn plate, which gives me some concern. The middle support for smaller pots gets in the way when loading from top. Iam not installing it if not needed. I have discovered possible to feed smaller sticks through the larger holes in bottom sides of stoves as well as the larger feed holes at top sides of stove. Rest of stove holding up well. Another observation is the ash build up in the ash pan during extended burn. Remedy is to remove ash pan during long burn. Want to have several more burns before deciding to keep stove or return. I have about 7 other stoves as comparison. Update : 3/24. After several more burns, the burn plate warps, but able to straighten. Didn't really effect integrity of stove. But considering everything have decided a little reluctantly to return. If you had only one lightweight stove this I would be a decent choice.

Excelente

Once you learn the tricks of assembly and handling, this stove is a joy!

This stove is so consistent when igniting a top-down burn, first time every time. The burn is very hot, and very steady. The pot I use is an Evernew 1.3 liter titanium, with which I get consistent 7 to 8 minutes rolling boils with one liter water. There are no longer any issues with the stove disassembling itself, add to that with one good preload, I’ve been able to boil two liters of water, adding only one 3inch long,1inch diameter, chunk of wood.I can’t ask for any more.

Finicky like a woman

The Kieth Titanium Firebox stove is very well made in every respect. Patience is a part of what bush-crafting is about so i don't mind that i have to assemble this stove. I also love the reasonable price point and the fact that the durable storage bag is so nice. However… this appeal is starting to get old when each time i patiently assemble the stove only to have it fall apart when i try to slip the 4th side on. Repeat this scenario at least 3 times, every time. It seems the stove assembles more successfully in an upright position than a side position. At times i have had my burn plate and ash plate seem wobbly in their position, and at other times they fit tight as drum. Its not a warpage issue but just a result of trying to do origami with metal plates. When cooking, the stove may work itself out of level and begin to disassemble itself if the ground beneath it is not level enough.PROS= By leaving the pot support out (which weakens stability just a wee bit) i can place my smaller diameter cups and canteens directly into the fire, and they nestle nicely surrounded by the metal walls. Very fast boil time. One wall has no vent holes, and therefore makes a perfect wind vortex when blowing on the embers.I have cooked my breakfast and supper on this about 8 times so far. I wish this stove had a tiny latch on it, just something to help things stay in place during assembly. At this point i am regretfully planning to retire this stove in favor of the more expensive competitors brand. The reason is that this Keith stove requires SO much handling, that my hands get sooty. Then soot or ash gets on anything i touch. Not acceptable.I love Keith products and want to love this stove. If money is an issue for you, get this but if you can afford it.. get the competitors stove as i plan to do.This stove does a good job, but you have to jump through hoops first. I think this stove is a female.

Difficult/Time Consuming To Set Up

Well, I really wanted to like it. It’s a pain to assemble though. I own a Firebox and those are a breeze to set up. I may be spoiled.

Good stove

Although the pieces seemed a little flimsy linked together when cool, once the fire expanded the metal the box structure was solid enough to be repositioned with some sticks. Lots of air flow and easy to put up and take down. Good buy.

OK item.

I like that size, design, weight, and parts are well finished.Detached kettle stand, Bottom parts and Ash pan are not stable, that made me wondering to quality of design. This stove is designed to use woods or charcoal and is not for versatile use such as alcohol stove.

very portable and sturdy

Excellent design, very portable, sturdy and easy to assemble and disassemble. it only weighs 11.2 ounces, much lighter than my stainless steel firebox which weighs 32.4 ounces. With the included very nice bag, it is perfectly convenient to pack and go. I love this product. Strongly recommend it.
