Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common product, care and shipping questions.

What does the 35 kPa working pressure mean?

The cooker is designed to operate at a working pressure of 35 kPa. By retaining steam inside the sealed pot, it creates a pressurized cooking environment that supports more efficient cooking, especially in outdoor and high-altitude conditions.

Is this pressure cooker designed for high-altitude cooking?

Yes. The pressurized cooking environment helps compensate for the lower boiling temperature of water at higher elevations, making it more practical for preparing meals in high-altitude outdoor conditions.

What is the double-layer design for?

The system includes an outer pot and an inner pot. Depending on how you cook, the two-piece structure allows the inner pot to sit within the outer cooking chamber and supports steam-based cooking.

What are the three valves on the lid for?

The lid incorporates a pressure valve, pressure release valve, and safety valve. Together, they help regulate and release pressure during operation and provide additional pressure-control protection.

What can I cook in it?

Its 1.8 L capacity is suitable for rice, grains, soups, stews and other one-pot outdoor meals. It is designed for campers who want to prepare more substantial meals than simply boiling water.

Can the handles be folded for packing?

Yes. The folding handles reduce the cooker's packed footprint, while the nested pot structure keeps the complete cooking system more compact for transport and storage.

How do I clean the cooker?

Allow the cooker to cool completely before cleaning. Wash the titanium surfaces with warm water, mild detergent and a soft sponge. The lid and valve areas should also be cleaned regularly to prevent food residue from affecting their operation.

Do the valves require any maintenance?

Keep the pressure valve, pressure release valve and safety valve clean and free from food particles or other obstruction. Check the valve openings before use and do not operate the cooker if any pressure-control component appears blocked or damaged.

Can I open the lid immediately after cooking?

No. Pressure must be fully released before opening the lid. Do not force the lid open while the cooker is still pressurized.

Is it suitable for backpacking?

It is designed with outdoor portability in mind, including titanium construction, folding handles and a nested structure. However, at 1.8 L, it is better suited to users who prioritize a capable outdoor cooking system rather than an ultralight minimalist setup.

Very cool Ti pressure cooker

This titanium pressure cooker is very cool. As a lightweight backpacker and longtime fan of titanium cookware, I knew I had to have this. It is very high quality and elegantly deigned and manufactured. The titanium has a nice smooth finish and the locking lid mechanism works perfectly to create a tight seal in conjunction with the silicone ring.I'm always trying to keep my pack light and routinely weigh my gear so this is the first thing I did after opening the cooker. The whole kit including lightweight mesh bag weighs in at 19oz. That's over three times the weight of my 1.3L titanium pan that's usually my go-to for backpacking. However, this pressure cooker is larger and is really like 2 pans in one so I expected it to be significantly more weight. It can be used as a single pot without the inner pot too. When used this way without the inner pot, it is 4.73oz lighter. However, this cooker really shines with the inner pot so I'll probably always carry it.It took me a little while to understand how to use it but it's easy once I figured it out. To cook rice, you put the correct amount of rice into the pot up to the tiny hole in the pot that corresponds with how much rice you want. The lowest marker on the pot is for 300g of rice. I eat rice very often and cook it in a rice cooker so I had a standard plastic rice measuring cup from that. I filled it up to the top with white rice and the rice weighed 150g. So to get to the lowest measuring hole on the pot it takes 2 of these rice cups. That is a LOT of rice. Just 150g or one plastic cup of dry rice is enough to make a huge plate of rice that almost fills me up by itself and is about 550 calories. When I eat with others, they usually don't eat this much rice. Since the least amount of rice you can make with this cooker is 300g, I'd say that is 2-4 servings minimum. As such, this pot is well suited to groups of people but may be overkill for one person who only wants to make 150g of rice.In my first test, I made 300g of white rice and fluffed it up a bit. Then I put the cover back on and cooked up the rest of my dinner for 40 minutes. The white rice that had been sealed in the pressure cooker was still hot and steaming so it insulates very nicely. Another way this cooker could be used is to make white rice first and then take out the inner rice pot. Then the outer pot could be used to boil water for rehydrating a freeze dried meal or to boil a boil-to-heat entree to go with the rice.Overall I really like this cooker for group backpacking or for kayak camping with 2 people. It's a little heavy and large for a personal backpacking cooker, but it really shines for cooking rice and is well worth having whenever it makes sense to take along.

Heartbroken

I was so excited about this, because I've been wanting a titanium nesting cook pot and cup set that could replace my steel Stanley set I use in my cooking kit, in my Bug Out Bag. But it's much bigger than I thought it would be (That's what SHE said!). Won't fit in my cook kit pouch, and is just too big for what I had in mind.Aside from that, it's a good quality titanium pressure cooker, and a backpacker might love it. If you don't have a whole pack crammed with survival gear, it will be much easier to pack, and you can stuff it with things to where it doesn't take up much room.I AM using it for home, on the campfire and propane stove, but probably won't be taking it on any adventures unless I have to.Comes with a little cleaning stick, couple extra stoppers, and a carry bag. Which leaves a little to be desired, compared to all the other titanium cookware carry bags I've gotten. All in all, it works well with rice and other meals you'd want to cook on the trail, and it's nice and lightweight compared to a steel version. I mostly Dig It; just wish it was a little smaller for my purposes. I'd like to see if Keith makes a pot and cup set like the one I'm after.

A backpacking pressure cooker that wears many hats!

I have the smaller Keith titanium Ti6300 that I use for backpacking to make rice and steam things. The Ti6302 is larger and seems like it's heavier gauge and can handle larger meals like pressure cooking meats and stews. The titanium quality is excellent on the Keith products and durability reflects that. It is versatile, you can cook rice, stew, and even braise ox tails in it. It's a bit heavier but but nothing crazy and can be used for backpacking, car camping or even at home.

My first experimental trial was breadfruit Jamaican style.(whole unpeeled but cut in half). Knowing that the pressure is 1/3 of a regular of a stove pressure cooker and half of a instapot, I cooked for 30 min instead of 12 minThe breadfruit turned out nicely cooked and sweet. It’s definitely coming with me on the weekend fishing trip.

I ordered this little pressure cooker because how could I not? It’s titanium and it’s a pressure cooker? I gotta see this! said I. Sooo, first some general description before the tests. It's titanium, which means it weighs next to nothing given it's size and the thing is way durable and able to be set in a campfire. Not that you should. The size is, as the product description says, micro. You won't be cooking vittles for the crew in this thing. You will make the crew jealous because everyone wants to play with the little Ti pressure cooker. As for that playing, I cooked rice and I cooked pinto beans. Normally, I'd never cook rice in a pressure cooker because it take so long for the pressure to drop. Not so with this thing because it is micro. It cools quickly. The true test is the pinto beans because those have to cook for well over an hour. It took a fair amount of attention because it's so easy to get things too hot and also easy to let the rig cool down. That said, the little relief valves totally work and I probably made it harder on myself than I need to. Anyways, it worked. Is it practical? No way. But it is oh so very cool and I love it and I love to show it off. Totally worth it.

Phenomenal craftsmanship! Top tier titanium.

Keith Titanium knocked it out of the park with this micro pressure cooker! It's incredibly well made as far as machining and material. Being made fully of titanium it's incredibly lightweight despite its size. The inner liner perfectly nests into the outer pot, and the lid has a very robust twisting lock, alongside the rubber seal, creating an airtight pressure cooker that perfectly fits into itself!

Ultralight titanium micro-pressure performance that earns its spot in every pack

This cooker proves its pedigree from the first meal: the Ti6302 refines the acclaimed Ti6300 concept into a more spacious, truly trail-ready system. The dual-pot design (900 ml inner, 1100 ml outer) with precise water marks and ~35 kPa micro-pressure delivers efficient, even results—perfect for fluffy rice, hearty soup, or a full one-pot meal. Pure Grade 1 titanium throughout means ultralight carry, corrosion resistance, and a clean, coating-free cooking surface with no off-tastes. The secure locking lid, high-heat silicone seal, and collapsible handles with protective grips inspire confidence when moving from alcohol stove to direct flame or an electric ceramic heater. At 5.35"D x 5.75"W x 8.03"H, it nests neatly in a pack yet feels generous at camp; it’s easy to use, easy to clean, and built for years of service. Backed by ISO 9001 manufacturing and food-grade test approvals, this is an outstanding, highly recommended outdoor cooker.

Like all Keith titanium cookware this micro pressure cooking pot will last through generations.

Great compact, ultra lightweight cooking pot. I have several Keith brand titanium pots and cookware and they are yet to disappoint. This one should make a great addition to my collection. The pot is titanium so it should last for generations. It will work great for cooking over my camp stove or directly over coals. I like that in addition to being a cook pot this one doubles as a pressure cooker or rice cooker. This thing is ultralight and can be thrown into a backpack with very minimal weight penalty. The pots conveniently nest within each other for storage and then slide into the lightweight included mesh style bag. While this pot/pressure cooker is not inexpensive, I do believe it to be an exceptional value when you consider that this pot will last through generations.
